Preparation Guide For Your

BOUDOIR EXPERIENCE
with
This timeline is a suggestion. Your body does not need to be stripped of hair, covered in makeup, tanned...you are always ready for boudoir.

THE MONTH BEFORE...
Start shopping and planning your wardrobe. JBC, Adore Me, Savage X Fenty, Negative Underwear, and CUUP are great inclusive brands worth checking out. Some local options include Soma at La Palmera Mall and Dillard's; both provide fitting services and have a beautiful selection. Let's not forget my favorite, affordable stop for lingerie, Targét!

Book hair, waxing, and nail appointments. Body Hair or No Body Hair, I am here for it! But if you typically wax, please book your wax session one week before your scheduled boudoir session. (If you plan to shave, please remember to shave anything that will show in photos the day before so your skin isn't irritated the day of your boudoir session.)

I cannot photograph you until you complete your paperwork. Please complete your consultation questionnaire and sign your contract, and model release if you have agreed to one, 3 days BEFORE your scheduled session.
THE WEEK OF...
Hair and Fingernails. This is a good time to get your hair cut or trimmed, have a manicure and pedicure, and take care of any waxing.

Wardrobe. Settle on your favorite outfits. Make sure they're all clean, ironed/steamed, and free of sales tags. If you are bringing heels, make sure they look their best, are clean, and don't forget to clean the bottoms and remove stickers.

HYDRATE. Hydrated skin glows! Remember, dry skin doesn't hold makeup or photograph well. Aim to drink half your body weight in water every day throughout the week.

Stretch your body. It will help, I promise! These poses aren't something most of us do on a daily so stretch it, especially the calves.

Prevent Bloating and Acne. Do your very best to avoid salty or fried foods. This is for comfort and confidence. We almost never feel comfortable or confident when we are bloated. Also, salt and fried foods can cause problems with your skin, which you may not have time to address before your session. Stay consistent with your skincare routine (let me know if you need products-I push Mary Kay!)

If you must tan, this is the ideal time to spray tan.
Make sure unmanicured nails are clean and free of old polish.
THE DAY BEFORE
-
Stretch, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, and eat healthy
-
If you prefer, today is the day to shave.
-
Moisturize your skin

SESSION DAY !!!
Please arrive on time. You may refer to your confirmation email for your arrival time. The address of the studio is 3765 S Alameda Street, Suite 311 in Corpus Christi. We are located directly across from The Village Shopping Center. Please come right on time, not early and not late. If you should arrive late, it will cut into your session time. You may not be my only client of the day so please be kind and courteous.

Take a few moments to relax and BREATHE. Remind yourself that you are beautiful, sexy and worthy of being documented. I am completely aware of the fact that boudoir can be nerve racking, so please feel free to express any feelings of anxiety or apprehension in the days leading to your session. Adventures are supposed to give you butterflies.
Plan to arrive in loose fitting, comfy clothing. Tight clothing and tight shoes can leave red marks and lines on the skin.

Do not arrive with wet hair. Whether you are being styled or not, be sure to dry your hair beforehand, unless advised otherwise by the photographer or stylist.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST....
Thank you for choosing Anna Marie Boudoir. I can't wait to immortalize your beautiful body!
